Quote of the Week: Richard Avedon

"All photographs are accurate. None of them is the truth."

Richard Avedon
(15 May 15 1923 – 1 October 2004), American photographer.

very interesting. Susan Sontag has argued that no photograph can capture "truth" and convey it to achieve the same experience in outsiders that first-hand observers achieve. All photographs are subjective, point-of-view shots of a multidimensional event. But isn't everything that individuals experience subjective?
